Overview

fpstest.pro provides free browser-based performance tests. There is no signup and no user accounts. This page explains exactly what data is and is not collected when you use the site.

Your Test Results Stay in Your Browser

All tools (FPS test, UFO test, Hz detector, reaction test, input lag test, frame comparison) run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your test results are computed and displayed locally and are never transmitted to our servers or to anyone else.

Analytics (Only With Your Consent)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools people find useful. Google Analytics does not run unless you click Accept on the consent banner. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies and collects data such as your IP address (anonymized), approximate location, browser and device type, and the pages you visit. This data is processed by Google under their privacy policy. If you decline, no analytics scripts load and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Local Storage

We use your browser's localStorage for two things only: remembering your theme preference (dark or light mode) and remembering your analytics consent choice. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

Contact Form

If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you submit. This is sent to our inbox via Resend, a transactional email provider, so we can reply to you. We use this information only to respond to your message and do not add you to any mailing list. To limit abuse, our contact endpoint applies rate limiting based on your IP address; the IP is not stored beyond that.

Advertising

We do not currently serve ads. If we introduce advertising in the future (for example Google AdSense), we will update this policy first, disclose the ad partner, and — where required — ask for your consent before any advertising cookies are set.

What We Do Not Collect

  • No accounts, passwords, or personal profiles
  • No test results or hardware benchmarks sent to our servers
  • No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since the only personal data we hold is contact form emails, you can request deletion of your correspondence at any time via the contact form.
